Supporting Caregivers of People with Dementia

Project Kesher Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and Israel, in partnership with Chesed Avraham, introduced a new course to support women who are caring for a relative with dementia. The course includes lecture series, trainings, and group counseling sessions to support family caregivers on this long and emotional journey. Top neurologist, Dr. Lydia Guzeyeva, led the first meeting early December with a discussion, “Dementia: View from the Inside,” to help caregivers understand behaviors and communication difficulties often encountered when caring for their loved ones.
