We work across 9 time zones

We transform lives through Jewish identity building and social activism.

What We Do

Leadership Training

Project Kesher trains women to become change-makers. By training leaders from within communities, we build credibility country by country, and ensure  that our work is sustainable.

Jewish identity and renewal

Although Project Kesher has been working in this region since 1989, we still discover Jewish participants who have never lit Shabbat candles or seen a Torah Scroll.

ADVANCING THE STATUS OF WOMEN AND GIRLS

ECONOMIC SELF-SUFFICIENCY

Older women workers are especially vulnerable in a tight job market. Project Kesher runs 18 award-winning vocational computer centers in Belarus, Georgia, Russia and Ukraine, in partnership with World ORT.

Building a More Tolerant Society

In a region with historic tensions between ethnicities, Project Kesher builds bridges.

Project Kesher in Israel

In February 2007, Project Kesher brought 30 of our leaders from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova and Georgia to Israel for leadership and Israel advocacy training.
