Project Kesher Ukraine Launches Print Version of Ukrainian language Haggadah for Passover

Just in time for Passover, Project Kesher Ukraine has released a thousand copies of the print edition of its Ukrainian language haggadah, launched digitally last year. The text tells the Passover story through the eyes of Ukrainians fighting to live in a free, democratic and safe society. Purposely designed to help Ukrainian Jews honor their heritage, the haggadah ties the holiday’s slavery-to-freedom narrative to Ukraine’s ongoing fight against the Russian invasion.

Project Kesher convened a select team of experts to advise on the haggadah, including Noam Zion—emeritus at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem and creator of the popular version, A Different Night—who called the haggadah one of the most meaningful projects he’s ever advanced. The text includes contemporary commentaries and original artwork by renowned Kyiv-born Israeli artist Zoya Cherkassky-Nnadi, whose illustrations for the haggadah drew her down an artistic path culminating in a series inspired by October 7th that has received global media attention.

To purchase a copy, email info@projectkesher.org. They will be delivered after Passover 2024 in the United States.
